Learning on the Job
Historical Society

In early October, Louisa County High School students were given two days off due to teacher workdays.

That didn’t stop three LCHS students from continuing their academic ventures.

Lydia Barbour, Ebony Anderson and Grant Williams interned at the Louisa County Historical Society on October 9th and 10th. The trio spent two days working with the society’s Geographic Information Systems.

The students trained on how to use the program. They also worked on identifying maps of Louisa County from as far back as 1937. The students matched up the area from those maps to current day geographic layouts.

Great job, students!
