Socktober Donation

Last month, Louisa County High School participated in Socktober. Socktober is a national movement that encourages donations of socks for the less fortunate.

Louisa County Middle School student Olivia Vibbert donated 400 pairs of socks to the cause!

Olivia runs her own non-profit called “Cold Feet Warm Hearts.” In just one year, she has donated more than 7,000 pairs of socks to various charities and organizations.

“It makes me feel happy, giving the socks to people who need them. We have a lot of socks in our garage. So, we had to count them all out. We put them in a tote and brought them all here.”

Olivia’s motto is “Changing the World, Two Feet at a Time.”

Olivia is constantly accepting donations of crocheted hats, toiletries, socks and other warm clothing. If you are interested in making a donation, call 540-481-4838.
