Constitution Day at LCPS

Constitution Day at LCPS

Louisa County Public Schools celebrated Constitution Day on Monday, September 17th.

To make her Constitution Day lessons more fun, TES teacher Felicia Clements dressed up as James Madison, the Father of the Constitution.

Students watched videos explaining the Constitution and the Preamble, and then wrote down what the Constitution means to them!

They also worked in groups to make a “Constitution Quilt,” which was made up of classwork completed by students!

“I was just looking online trying to come up with some ideas. I thought it would be a good idea to have the kids break down the parts of the Constitution and the Preamble in a little more interactive way where they had to think critically.”

Great job, #TeamLCPS!
