LCPS Hosts Book Fair For Teachers

LCHS was able to host an on-site book fair for teachers on Tuesday, March 3rd thanks to a unique partnership with Green Valley Book Fair.

Green Valley Book Fair is a discount bookstore located in Harrisonburg. Normally, school divisions travel to Harrisonburg for the Green Valley Book Fair, but for LCPS, Green Valley agreed to break the mold and host an on-site book fair!

"In speaking with Green Valley, they agreed to come to Louisa County Public Schools to ensure teachers had relevant, authentic titles for each classroom," said Justin Grigg, LCPS Director of Elementary Education.

Through Title I funding, all LCPS teachers were able to select up to $50 worth of books for their classroom library! In total, more than 700 titles were available!

"We just want to say thank you to Green Valley for coming to Louisa County Public Schools," Grigg said. "We appreciate all that you're doing to enhance our school libraries. Our teachers are so appreciative, and our students are going to enjoy the new titles!"

Thank you Green Valley Book Fair!
