Louisa County High School Culinary Arts students have been hard at work this week preparing for Saturday’s Homecoming Dance.

That’s because LCHS Culinary Arts takes charge in preparing the meal for the event.

In total, students have worked together to create more than 1,500 pieces for the Homecoming Dance, including cookies, fruit platters, veggie trays, and crackers!

It’s real-world, hands-on experience that prepares them for success in the food industry.

“You know it’s of those things where I could teach, the lesson in the classroom, but to actually watch the students do what they would really be doing in the workplace and seeing them getting it, that’s where I take a whole lot of pride,” said Chef Ben Howell, who serves as the Culinary Arts Instructor at LCHS. “They make me extremely proud.”

We are so proud of our LCHS Culinary Arts students!
