INFO: Va. Emergency Nutrition Assistance
Greetings, LCPS Families:
Recently, the Department of Social Services and the Governor's Office provided school divisions across Virginia with information concerning the new Virginia Emergency Nutrition Assistance program.
Per Governor Glenn Youngkin, this program has been put in place to ensure families who receive SNAP benefits will continue to receive state-funded food assistance during the federal shutdown.
Details on how the program will work for families who receive SNAP benfits are included in the flyer below. Anyone with questions about the state-run program should visit the DSS Virginia website or visit their local social services office.
