LCHS hosts Career & Hiring Expo

Louisa County High School hosted a Career & Hiring Expo for all students on Wednesday, May 2nd.

During the event, students were able to network with local employers and learn about a variety of different fields of employment. Twenty employers partnered with Louisa County High School for the expo.

Along with networking, students had the opportunity to register for one-on-one interviews with employers later in the day!

“It’s a great benefit because what our students are being exposed to are employers who are coming into our region and need jobs filled right away,” LCPS Career and Technical Education director Bo Bundrick said. “This is especially important for our juniors and seniors, who are looking for internships and apprenticeships. They can start working in school, and then work their way through high school. That’s what the employers are looking for, a training program or mechanism so they can get kids into a great job even earlier.”

The expo is part of Louisa County Public Schools’ continuous effort to provide students with real-world experiences and employment opportunities!
